Nichetto + Nendo

The partnership between Italian designer Luca Nichetto and the Japanese studio Nendo has given rise to a project with a poetic and craft-based soul. The lamp recalls a marine creature dancing lightly, cradled by a suffused light, hence the name: Kurage, which is Japanese for jellyfish.

Japanese Washi paper is made with the prized bark of the mulberry tree. This smooth and at the same time porous paper filters light to create a relaxed, warm and emotion-packed atmosphere.
