Back in 1990 Rodolfo Dordoni offered Foscarini his creative, stylish and sophisticated restyled version of the classic bedside lamp. This led to the conception of Lumiere, which went on to become an icon of contemporary design. Over the space of 30 years Lumiere has continued to evolve, donning different colours and finishes.

The Lumiere lamp strikes a harmonious balance between tradition and innovation, between decoration and technique. The combination of two materials that feel completely different such as blown glass and metal brings to mind a space for relations, where opposites manage to meet.
