An understated desk and reading lamp oozing a “magnetic” personality. The project focuses on a spherical magnet which joins together two simple elements: a support rod and a compact LED light source, similar to an electric torch to be directed and moved at will.

It brings together extensive usage flexibility with a rigorous shape and absolute functionality. The intense, concentrated and focused light can be directed onto a small area, such as a book or a computer keyboard, or it can be directed up to create diffused lighting.
Meet Noma Bar, featured artist in our project “What’s in a lamp?”. In his artworks Foscarini’s lamps are protagonists of minimal illustrations in which multiple levels of interpretation are concealed.
