A refined table lamp whose components have been reduced to a minimum. A transparent glass base that nearly vanishes from view supports a luminous core and a freely placed porcelain hat that diffuses light from within, creating an enveloping atmosphere.

CHAPEAUX P
The components of Chapeaux, table lamp for direct and diffused lighting designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, have been reduced to a minimum. consists of three diffusers —varying in forms, materials, and finishes— freely placed on a transparent glass body. This glass body supports the light source: an opal polycarbonate ampoule containing technical lighting components that appears to float inside the glass. A small brushed aluminum rod at the top serves as a touch dimmer, allowing adjustment to three levels. It retains the last dimmer setting in memory when activated by a wall switch. In the P version, the diffuser is made of is made of the matte porcelain. The light crosses the diffuser, illuminating it from within for a soft ambient atmosphere.
