CHIAROSCURA
A minimalist sculptural body for all-round lighting. Chiaroscura reinterprets the classic luminator, expanding its functionality thanks to a triangular structure that diffuses ambient light to the sides and direct light to the ceiling.

The Permanent Observatory of Design has selected the project Chiaroscura by Alberto and Francesco Meda and the lamp-sculpture Nile by Rodolfo Dordoni in the Lighting Design category.

CHIAROSCURA
Floor lamp with a slim and visibly light body made up of three semi-arches which describe a specific triangular cross-section. Simultaneously understated yet packed with character thanks to its frame which alternates matt and luminous surfaces, made with extruded aluminium and PMMA in longitudinal prisms that concurrently ensure transparency and comfortable diffusion of light. Chiaroscura enhances the functionality of a classic luminator by casting both a powerful indirect light upwards, as well as an indirect or diffused light from the full height of its body.
